JWP recently hired an administrator who has made substantial changes to how certain things are run. I proposed a change impact analysis process to ease some of the stressors that these changes have had on staff and tested it out with the implementation of SmartPass.
One of the areas that continues to be an issue with new teachers is getting supports in instruction. The Director of Teaching & Learning frequently heard about instructional support needs from new staff. To best serve them, I developed a training for our Mentor Teachers to guide their thinking as they continue to support our new teachers with instruction. This was a change from the planned next chapter based on the needs of the new staff.
